Benedict has been practising in the field of matrimonial property for 35 years.

 

He has many years experience acting for local authorities concerning enforcement of planning controls and regulation of highways, commons and village greens

 

He was educated at Oxford University and called to the Bar in 1972.

 

He has been involved in a number of complex and important cases, his most recent case of general interest being Lauder v Lauder [2007] EWHC 1227, [2007] 2 FLR 802.

Benedict specialises in the property aspects of family law, including ancillary relief cases with bankruptcy, real property and partnership issues.

 

He also deals with trusts of land and cohabitation disputes.

 

He is also experienced in the associated fields of wills, probate, Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims and administration of family trusts.
