Sian’s practice covers all areas of family law and court of protection work.

 

Sian read Law at Wadham College, Oxford before undertaking the LLM at University College London. She completed the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law and was awarded a scholarship by Middle Temple for her BVC year.

 

Sian was called to the Bar in 2008 and became a tenant at Harcourt Chambers in 2009 after successfully completing her pupillage there.
 


Practice

 

  • Financial Sian’s practice includes ancillary relief, Schedule One and TOLATA claims. Her wide range of expertise in financial matters as well as the other areas of family law allows her to offer a comprehensive service to clients who are experiencing family breakdown. Sian has frequently acted in applications to vary or enforce financial orders.

 

  • Public Law Sian has extensive experience of representing local authorities, parents and children in public law proceedings and has been instructed by the Official Solicitor in several cases. Sian has particular expertise in representing vulnerable clients and those for whom English is not a first language.

 

  • PrivateChildren Sian has represented parents and children in a wide variety of private law children cases and has a special interest in international and internal relocation.

 

  • Forced Marriage Sian has experience of forced marriage orders, both in existing proceedings and as freestanding applications.

 

  • FLA 1996 Sian has frequently dealt with injunctions under the FLA 1996 and is particularly experienced at advising when these remedies should be used in conjunction with children act or financial proceedings.
