Ethan’s practice focuses on matrimonial finance and the resolution of financial disputes between unmarried couples by means of ToLATA and Schedule 1 of the Children Act. He is held in the highest regard for his meticulous preparation and skilful negotiating.
Prior to joining Harcourt, Ethan trained with one of the ‘Big 4’ accountancy firms before moving into industry to work as a consultant. Having decided to pursue a career in law, he later joined one of the country’s premier family law solicitors as a paralegal and worked on numerous complex and high net worth finance cases.
Ethan’s primary goal is to find a pragmatic solution that wherever possible avoids the emotional and financial toll of long-running, acrimonious litigation. Should compromise not be possible then Ethan is able to fall back on his measured and persuasive courtroom advocacy.
Ethan is qualified to conduct direct access work; therefore, in suitable cases, members of the public may instruct him directly without the need for a solicitor.
Ethan acts for a wide range of clients and in cases of varying complexity and value. In addition to matrimonial cases, his practice includes property disputes and ToLATA, and applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act.
