Public Law Children & Care Proceedings
Oliver has extensive experience of representing local authorities, parents, Children’s Guardians and other family members and interveners. He has experience in dealing with the most complex of cases, including serious non-accidental injuries, conflicting medical evidence, sexual abuse of children and adults, fictitious illness and other significant mental health issues.
Care proceedings relating to two children, whose mother and fathers were unable to safely parent them.
Care proceedings concerning child whose M suffers from Paranoid Schizophrenia.
Care proceedings concerning one year-old child, issued due to concerns over emotional harm and neglect.
Final hearing of care proceedings concerning two teenaged children, following findings that parents had assaulted them. Care orders made, with plan of long-term foster care.
Care proceedings in relation to two children, issued following concerns over parenting. Children placed with maternal grandmother under special guardianship order.

Oliver has significant experience of dealing with complex and entrenched cases between parents and provides a robust yet realistic approach to the resolution of these family disputes. He has particular expertise in cases where the subject children are themselves parties to the proceedings and in dealing with litigants in person, and is often able to assist the parties to navigate an appropriate outcome after years of litigation.
