Notable Private Law Children cases

F v M & Ors [2023] EWFC 172

Sian Cox represented the mother in complex and lengthy private law proceedings. This judgment follows on from the fact finding judgment [2022] EWFC 124, in which she also appeared and a number of serious findings of coercive and controlling behaviour were made against the father. At the final hearing, Sian was able to secure significant protective orders for the mother, including lengthy s91A, restriction of parental rights, prohibited steps, and non-molestation orders. This case also posed difficult jurisdictional and procedural issues, which arose at a late stage when the father did not return to the UK for the final hearing.

F v M & Ors [2022] EWFC 124

Fact-finding hearing to deal with allegations made by both parties, in the context of Children Act and Family Law Act proceedings.

PM v CF [2018] EWHC 2658 (Fam)

Sian is qualified to accept instructions directly from members of the public under the Direct Access Scheme in appropriate circumstances.
