Simon Boutwood - Chambers Director

Simon joined Harcourt Chambers in February 2011 having gained many years’ experience clerking a successful civil set in London. He divides his time between London and Oxford and is responsible for the overall operation of Chambers including strategic planning, service delivery, individual practice development and marketing.

A key aspect to Simon’s role is the maintenance and development of relationships with Chambers clients – feedback on anything we do and the opportunity to discuss any issue is welcomed and he is delighted to assist at any time.

Judith Partington - Senior Practice Manager

Having trained as a legal executive, and after working for the Crown Prosecution Service, Judith joined Harcourt Chambers in 1992 as Oxford Clerk. She has been, since October 2003 chambers practice manager. As senior practice manager she has an extensive knowledge of chambers existing client-base combined with an in-depth understanding of each member’s legal experience and expertise and takes a lead role in diary management, fee negotiation and in the clerking of chambers more substantial work.

Matthew Molloy - Senior Practice Manager

Matt Joined Chambers in September 2010 and is our Practice Manager based in London, where he plays a leading role in providing helpful, friendly and highly efficient assistance to our clients with respect to choice of counsel and diary management issues. He has an extensive knowledge of each barristers experience and expertise and is happy to discuss the relative merits of each. Matt will also be delighted to discuss likely levels of fees to ensure the right fit for your client.


In his spare time, Matt enjoys spending time with friends and family and is an avid Spurs supporter

Hannah Welland - Practice Manager

Hannah has been with Harcourt Chambers since September 2010 and, like Matthew, is a valued member of the team taking-on the complete range of day-to-day clerking duties and helping Chambers to provide its clients with a friendly and efficient service.

Laurie Amron - Practice Manager

Laurie is a much valued member of the London team having been with Harcourt Chambers since June 2012. Laurie assists our clients and members with general day to day clerking matters including diary and case management, fixing of hearing dates in High Court and Court of Appeal, liaison with Courts as to listing and offering guidance to our clients as to choice of Counsel.


In his spare time, Laurie likes socialising with friends and going to the gym.


Jess Keen - Assistant Practice Manager

Jess  an assistant practice manager based in Oxford where she provides friendly help and assistance to our clients, barristers and other members of the clerking team on all case, diary management and general day to day clerking matters

Darcey Cunnew - Junior Clerk

Lynne Land - Chambers Administration and Fees Collection

Based in London, Lynne has over 25 years’ clerking experience and more particularly in recent times with fee collection especially in connection with VHCC’s and problem-solving with the LAA. Lynne is responsible for all fee collection and queries relating to billed fees and combines this role with a vital contribution to chambers administration generally.

Denise Moles - Accounts and Book-Keeping

Denise previously worked as a bank clerk and has 20 years ' experience of book-keeping. Based in chambers' Oxford premises, her responsibilities include chambers accounts and pay roll.
