Anna accepted an offer of tenancy at Harcourt Chambers in 2013 after the successful completion of pupillage.


Anna read Law at the University of Cambridge (Murray Edwards College, formerly New Hall), graduating in 2011. She was awarded the Middle Temple Astbury Scholarship for 2011-2012 and completed the BPTC at Kaplan Law School in 2012. Anna was called to the Bar in 2012.


During her training, Anna volunteered at the Free Representation Unit, where she offered advice and tribunal representation on a pro bono basis.


Anna is qualified to accept instructions directly from members of the public.



Anna's practice covers all areas of family law (including financial proceedings arising on relationship breakdown and Family Law Act 1996 proceedings), with a particular emphasis on private and public law children cases. Anna has represented clients in the High Court and has been led by Nicholas Goodwin QC in a case involving allegations of incest.


In public law proceedings, Anna represents parents, children, extended family members and Local Authorities. Anna frequently drafts Threshold Documents and delivered a talk at the Harcourt Chambers 2016 Public Law Conference on FDAC, substance misuse and testing.


Her private children practice includes applications for all types of orders under section 8 of the Children Act 1989 and she is regularly instructed in applications for Child Arrangements Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders.


Anna has experience of cases involving allegations of:


  • Domestic violence;
  • Substance misuse;
  • Neglect;
  • Sexual abuse, rape and incest;
  • Physical abuse;
  • Factitious or induced illness; and
  • Non-accidental injury


She often represents vulnerable clients, including those with mental health difficulties or special needs and those with a history of self-harm. Anna is also used to representing those for whom English is not their first language and cases involving Litigants in Person.


Anna has regularly received instructions in injunction proceedings under the Family Law Act 1996.
