Practice Profile

Hannah read Social and Political Science at the University of Cambridge and was called to the Bar in 2016.  


She joined Harcourt Chambers following the successful completion of pupillage in 2017.



Hannah’s practice covers the following areas:


  • Children (private and public law)
  • International family law
  • Domestic violence and injunctions


She has represented clients at both County Court and High Court Level.  


Hannah has a strong private law children practice, including cases with an international element and those involving intractable disputes, alienation and serious allegations of abuse.


She has experience of working with vulnerable clients in cases involving domestic violence, complex mental health issues, addiction and self-harm. Hannah enjoys representing grandparents and great-grandparents in both public and private law cases of particular sensitivity, including the death of a parent or a parent being unable to care.


Hannah is currently part of the counsel team to the Dame Linda Dobbs Review.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Hannah volunteered for children’s legal charities and worked with young offenders. She continues to train social workers in giving evidence.


Hannah previously worked in film in the US, and still enjoys script reading. She lives in the country and is a great lover of dogs and donkeys, as well as a keen quad biker and horse rider.
