Anna Yarde makes the Top 20 Legal LinkedIn Influencer list

29th Jul 2024 | News

There is an old cliché that barristers are rather too good at self-promotion. But actual marketing is a completely different board game. I know that I am not the only barrister who has sat in meetings and workshops and squirmed every time anyone said “marketing” or “social media”. I was worried about writing a post and publishing it. What if no one is interested? What if I embarrass myself? Can’t I just let the clerks fill my diary and do a good job at Court?

None of those thoughts completely went away. But what did change is this:

After the pandemic and periods of parental leave, I craved a new way to re-kindle long-standing connections and spark new ones. And I’ve discovered a whole host of Legal Linkedinfluencers who are posting uplifting and informative content every week. It is a joy. And it doesn’t feel like (whisper it) “marketing”.

So, it was an honour to be named as one of TBD Marketing’s Top 20 Legal Linkedinfluencers for Q2 2024 (Barrister No. 17). Please do download TBD’s Top 100 and find some new accounts to follow, engage with and learn from. I know I’ll be having a good browse and finding some inspiration.
