Harcourt Chambers and UCL Host Successful Seminar on the Inherent Jurisdiction

Harcourt Chambers was delighted to co-host, with University College London, a seminar exploring “The Inherent Jurisdiction: What is it for in 2026?”
The event, hosted on behalf of Professor Rob George KC, brought together family law practitioners, academics and members of the judiciary for an insightful discussion on one of the most significant and evolving areas of family law.
Delegates heard thought-provoking presentations from Professor Rob George KC, Dr Laura Pritchard-Jones and Victoria Butler-Cole KC, with the discussion expertly chaired by Mrs Justice Lieven.
The seminar concluded with a lively and engaging Q&A session, during which attendees actively contributed their own perspectives and questions, prompting a stimulating exchange of ideas between the panel and audience. The evening concluded with a drinks reception.
