20th May 2015 | News

John Vater QC appeared in Re M [2015] EWHC 1433 (Fam), in which the President made emergency orders in wardship requiring the return of a number of children to the jurisdiction following their parents’ flight to Syria. In his judgment the President examines the scope of the wardship jurisdiction in relation to British children abroad, the proper form of Order in such cases, and the use and scope of ‘super-injunctions’ and ‘anti-tipping off’ Orders in the family jurisdiction.
