Rob George KC attended, as an expert on relocation law, the “15 years of the HCCH Washington Declaration: Progress and Perspectives on international family relocation” conference, hosted by the Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC between 2-4 April 2025.

As a panellist for the opening session ‘Setting the scene: The harmful effects of international child abduction and international family relocation as a potential tool to help prevent it’ Rob presented an overview of the research available in this important area of law.

Rob is widely recognised for his academic and practice expertise in relocation and frequently acts for parents in relocation disputes, both international and domestic. He has appeared in several of the leading cases in this area, including Re C (Internal Relocation) [2015] EWCA Civ 1305 and L v F (Relocation: Second Appeal) [2017] EWCA Civ 2121, and his books in this area include Relocation: A Practical Guide (2016) and Relocation Disputes: Law and Practice in England and New Zealand (2014).
