Ashika Singh

Ashika Singh accepts instructions across the full spectrum of family law.

Ashika will be joining Harcourt Chambers as a tenant in October 2026 following pupillage under the supervision of Hannah McSorley, Victoria Flowers and Mavis Amonoo‑Acquah.

Before pupillage, Ashika served as the International Family Justice Officer and assistant private secretary within the Private Office of the former President of the Family Division, Sir Andrew McFarlane. She frequently engaged in international judicial liaison and supported the work of the President’s Private Office, the Court of Protection and the Family Justice Council, contributing to the publication of key guidance and protocol.

Ashika previously worked as a paralegal in a leading family law firm on complex private and public law children matters involving non‑accidental injury, fabricated or induced illness and rare medical conditions. She has worked extensively with highly vulnerable and disadvantaged clients. She also brings practical insight into housing and immigration issues through her volunteering on the housing possession duty scheme and at a local migrant centre.

She holds a PhD in philosophy and architecture from the Catholic University of Leuven, where she became the first doctoral student to complete a doctorate across two disciplines. She has published journal articles in her field of research.

Outside of court, Ashika can be found reading or taking her beloved greyhound on a walk.
