Harcourt Chambers sponsor and speak at the Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire Local Family Justice Board annual training

4th Oct 2024 | News

Harcourt Chambers was thrilled to sponsor the Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire Local Family Justice Board’s annual training conference which was held yesterday.

The theme of the sold-out multidisciplinary event, was Neurodiversity in the Family Justice System with an emphasis on how to better support neurodivergent parents and children in family proceedings.

This years opening address was delivered by the President of the Family Division and a wide range of speakers included Dr Bryn Williams on the subject of trauma and neurodivergence, HHJ Maclachlan with a view from the Bench on applications for assessments, and Harcourt’s Helen Little and Frances Harris on supporting and questioning neurodivergent individuals at court.

The presiding judge was Ms Justice Henke, recently appointed Family Division Liaison Judge for the area.

The event was a roaring success and very well attended. We look forward to next year already.
