Harcourt members instructed in landmark case featured in BBC documentary

Rob George KC, Mavis Amonoo-Acquah, Natasha Miller and Paige Campbell are instructed by James Netto of iFLG in a landmark declaration of parentage case which now forms the basis of the BBC documentary Abandoned: Searching for Soldier Dad.

The programme highlights the experiences of mothers and children in Nanyuki, Kenya, seeking to establish the identity of British soldiers who fathered children there. The underlying litigation has combined DNA analysis, court-ordered disclosure and international collaboration to identify paternal links, enabling many to discover their fathers for the first time.

The work has significant implications for issues of identity, inheritance, financial provision and, in some cases, British nationality.

The documentary and accompanying podcast are now available via the BBC.
