Matthew Brookes-Baker represented the Children’s Guardian in a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards application before Lieven J.

The case was of interest due to the range of serious issues it highlighted. One such issue was normalising the wholly unacceptable standard of care that many extremely vulnerable children now receive while in the care of local authorities.
