We are delighted to welcome Sam Elliott to Harcourt Chambers. Sam is a highly regarded family law practitioner with a particular expertise in private children proceedings. He is regularly instructed in complex and sensitive cases, including child abduction, international relocation, allegations of serious domestic abuse, and disputes involving entrenched parental conflict. He also has substantial experience in public law children cases, including matters concerning non-accidental injury, sexual abuse and fabricated or induced illness.

In addition to his advocacy practice, Sam is an accredited civil and commercial mediator and was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2022, sitting in both the Family and Civil jurisdictions on the South Eastern and Welsh Circuits. Sam has appeared frequently on national radio as an expert legal commentator.
