Our work covers all areas of family law, with particular expertise in the following areas:
Imogen Pitts joined Harcourt as a pupil in October 2024. She will be covering all areas of Chambers’ expertise whilst supervised by Simon Miller, Ruth Cabeza and Daniel Sheridan.
Prior to pupillage, Imogen attended over 600 county court hearings as a solicitor’s agent. In this role, Imogen held conferences with clients, cross-examined witnesses and opposed experienced counsel. In addition, Imogen acted as an ‘appropriate adult’ by supporting vulnerable people through the process of being detained and interviewed by the police. Imogen previously worked as a paralegal and enjoyed volunteering with the National Centre of Domestic Violence through the firm’s pro bono department.
Imogen graduated with a First Class Honours in Law from King’s College London before completing the Barrister Training Course with a Distinction. During her studies, Imogen volunteered with the Free Representation Unit. She assisted clients by drafting skeleton arguments, negotiating on their behalf and representing them at the Employment Tribunal. Imogen also volunteered with the Schools Consent Project, leading workshops on the statutory framework around sexual offences.
In her spare time, Imogen enjoys travelling, roller-skating and going to the theatre.
