Nick Goodwin KC led Sarah Watters (7, Harrington St), for the successful appellant local authority and Jonathan Sampson KC led Elizabeth Brennan (Exchange Chambers) for the third respondent in Re T (Fact-Finding: Second Appeal) [2023] EWCA Civ 475. This was an unusual second appeal from the decision of a circuit judge who had overturned the fact-finding decisions of a deputy district judge in a case involving allegations of sexual abuse.
