Oliver Powell in E (a child) (Care and Placement Orders) [2024] EWFC 170 (B)

17th Jul 2024 | Cases

Oliver Powell was instructed by Oxford Law Group to represent the Third Respondent child by their Child’s Guardian in E (a child) (Care and Placement Orders) [2024] EWFC 170 (B).

These were care proceedings which involved careful consideration of whether the child should be placed for adoption or with an extended family member. Central to that enquiry was what weight should be placed on the pre-existing health conditions of the extended family member who sought to care for the child. Oliver represented the children’s guardian. The court accepted Oliver’s analysis of the risks arising from those health conditions.
