Sian Cox in F v M & Ors [2023] EWFC 172

18th Oct 2023 | Cases

Sian Cox, instructed by BP Collins LLP, represented the first respondent Mother in F v M & Ors [2023] EWFC 172  complex and lengthy private law proceedings. This judgment follows on from the fact-finding judgment [2022] EWFC 124, in which Sian also appeared and a number of serious findings of coercive and controlling behaviour were made against the Father. At the final hearing, Sian was able to secure significant protective orders for the mother, including lengthy s91A (Children Act), restriction of parental rights, prohibited steps, and non-molestation orders. This case also posed difficult jurisdictional and procedural issues, which arose at a late stage when the father did not return to the UK for the final hearing.
