Practice Profile

 

David practises in all aspects of private family law, with a focus on the financial aspects of relationship breakdown between former married couples and cohabitants.

 

David has represented clients at all levels of the Family Court, including as second junior for the Respondent in In the Matter of A (Children) (AP) [2013] UKSC 60 in the Supreme Court and in both finance and children proceedings in the High Court and County Courts.

 

David’s financial work includes cases relating to high net worth clients involving in excess of £10 million in assets, family companies, and several cases involving family farms.  

 

David writes on the law of nuptial agreements in collaboration with Douglas Allen for the Practical Law Company (Thomson Reuters). David is happy to receive instructions to draft or advise on pre- or post-nuptial agreements.

 

In addition to his court practice, David has wide experience of writing opinions and of drafting documents and pleadings in all of the above areas.
